Privacy Policy

1. Information the extension can access

When you use AIChatNotes on supported ChatGPT pages, the extension may read visible conversation content, selected text, message metadata, code blocks, tables, links, and page URLs so it can provide capture, export, navigation, and Notion save features.

The extension does not collect unrelated browsing history. It is intended to run only on the supported chat pages listed in the extension manifest.

2. Information you choose to save or export

AIChatNotes processes content when you intentionally save, copy, export, or send it to Notion. This content can include AI messages, your messages, selected text, merged message selections, code blocks, tables, source URLs, timestamps, and task status.

3. Local browser storage

The extension stores settings and task metadata in your browser extension storage and local database. This may include Notion configuration, Notion save task records, saved task status, retry metadata, license verification state, and an extension install identifier.

A Notion access token, if you provide one, is stored locally in the browser extension and is used to call the Notion API for user-directed saves.

4. Notion export

Notion is an optional one-way export destination. When you click a save-to-Notion action, AIChatNotes sends the selected content and related metadata to the Notion API using the token you configured.

AIChatNotes does not read your Notion workspace back into the extension, perform two-way sync, or use Notion as a hidden database.

5. Purchases through Creem

AIChatNotes uses Creem as a third-party merchant of record and checkout provider. If you buy AIChatNotes Pro, you are redirected to Creem to complete the purchase and receive a license key.

Creem may process payment, order, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and customer information according to its own privacy policy and terms. AIChatNotes may receive purchase and license information needed to activate, verify, support, and manage your Pro access, such as license key status, plan, transaction identifiers, customer email, and purchase metadata.

AIChatNotes does not receive or store your full payment card details.

6. License verification and Pro features

Some features, including Notion save, may require AIChatNotes Pro. When you activate or verify a license, the extension may send your license key, extension install identifier, feature name, instance identifier, and extension version to the AIChatNotes license service.

The extension stores a signed entitlement token locally after successful verification so it can check Pro access without sending your chat content to the license service.

7. Website analytics

The AIChatNotes website may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, page usage, referrers, device/browser information, approximate location, and performance of marketing pages. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies and processes data according to Google's terms and privacy controls.

Website analytics are used to improve the website, documentation, pricing pages, and download flow. Analytics are not used to read your ChatGPT conversations or local extension exports.

8. Website and account data

If you use the AIChatNotes website or any account-based web features, the website may process account, authentication, billing, support, and product usage information needed to operate those services.

This policy focuses on the browser extension and related AIChatNotes services. Browser extension local exports do not require a website account.

9. AI training

AIChatNotes does not use your captured conversations, notes, selected text, Notion exports, or local extension data to train AI models.

10. Sharing and sale of data

AIChatNotes does not sell your personal information or captured chat content. We share data only as needed to provide user-requested functionality, such as sending selected content to Notion, verifying a Pro license, processing purchases through Creem, using Google Analytics for website measurement, operating the website, responding to support requests, or complying with legal obligations.

11. Security

AIChatNotes uses browser extension storage for local settings and tokens, and sends network requests over HTTPS where applicable. No storage or transmission method is perfect, so you should avoid saving highly sensitive content unless you are comfortable storing it in your browser and, when used, in Notion.

12. Your choices

You can remove the extension to delete extension-managed local data from the browser. You can also clear Notion configuration from the options page, revoke the Notion token from your Notion account, manage payment and license records through the purchase provider where available, and use browser or Google controls for analytics preferences. Content already exported to local files or saved to Notion must be managed in those destinations.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as AIChatNotes changes. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
